Announcement: Once the majority of the pain has stopped I will be creating a webpage solely on adult tonsillectomies, it will provide information for future patients and caregivers, my own experience (with photos). Also readers will be able to share their experiences in a forum and answer each others questions. So I'll try to get that up and running soon.
Anyways, to update you on my progress today has been a bit of an emotional nightmare. I'm getting alittle tired of sitting here and missing social events so I was in a pretty bad mood. There's no longer black in my throat, just white patches, One of the patches on the left side fell off and I was upset and hyperventilated which caused slight bleeding, I called my family doctor but since its the weekend he couldn't accommodate seeing me, I was told to go to the ER but there wasn't enough bleeding for me to feel the need to so I stayed home. (if you bleed more then 1 tsp go to the ER) I'm extremely scared that it could start bleeding again which would be really serious. I woke up early and my throat felt so dry, I drank a lot of water. It was very uncomfortable this morning in the right side of my mouth, specifically the cavity deep behind my tongue where my tonsil used to be, it feels like bee stings. I was also very nauseous this morning and last night, Ive gone through my 40 T3 pills, thankfully I was able to get some more but I will be trying to cut back on them as they are upsetting my stomach. I was able to eat ice cream today, I dont see myself eating "solids" for at least 3 more days.
also my tongue still hurts, feels as though I've burnt it on hot coffee, and its kinda numb and tingly. My uvula isn't as swollen so I don't keep swallowing it, which is nice. I'm getting tired of watching TV.
